A New Emphasis
A new job and the increased availability of detailed race descriptions on multiple news and sports Web sites means that I will probably not review each individual Grand Prix in detail again this year. There are links to many sites that provide complete race reviews on the F1Page Formula 1 Links page. I still intend to write articles and opinions on some items of interest but I will be changing the emphasis of this site to provide extra background information and an archive of results rather than trying to compete with or duplicate the work of full-time paid journalists.
A Shameless Plug
In association with Amazon.com I have a store where you can check out various Formula 1 and driving related items. You can purchase them — or anything else that Amazon offers — directly from Amazon by following one of the links.
A Word Of Advice
To view this Web site properly I recommend using a browser. There are plenty available: some are good, some are bad and some are just plain ugly.
I support the Web Standards Project’s Browser Upgrade Campaign and suggest that, if you haven’t already done so, you consider upgrading to one of the latest generation of standards compliant browsers. Doing so will improve your Web experience, enabling you to use and view sites as their creators intended.
Although this site should look OK in Netscape Navigator/Communicator 4 or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 there are many newer and better browsers available for free download. The Web Standards Project has details of the latest versions of each of the major browsers and links to their download sites.
I have tried to keep this site as accessible as possible, so whilst I use Java applets, JavaScript functions, Perl, PHP and CSS I have avoided using any vendor proprietary features which would not work with the majority of current browsers or which would require plug-ins. It will look best at a resolution of 800×600 or higher with a minimum of 256 colours.
Don’t Be A Stranger
Please e-mail me with your comments, questions or suggestions for this page. I would be especially pleased to receive links to anything concerning Team Lotus past, present or future.
Enjoy the racing,
